Visiting auntie

Photo_302

We're moving in two days (!!!!) so we packed up Orson yesterday for a visit to his auntie and uncle. It was a painful transition that left me wondering if leaving him at home during the move wasn't a better idea. But the idea of having him underfoot during a heavy furniture move wasn't appealing either. Sigh.

Today, however, this photo came in and it appears that Orson is adjusting quite well. He just swapped my lap for my sister's lap and is reportedly parked there, being soothed by the sounds of typing.

Orson in love

A new cat moved in to the building across from us, and Orson is properly smitten. (If you look closely, you can see the object of his affections sitting in the opposite window.) He holds a morning vigil on the couch, arriving before her and leaving after she's long trotted off for her morning kibble.

(Note: I am assuming the new cat is female, because Orson tends to rip up everything in sight as a display of machismo when he sees a male cat.)
